A Year of Growth: The Challenges and Joys of a Nature-Inspired Jewellery Business

Spring has arrived once again, marking the start of a new year. I began taking Work by Nature seriously in April 2024—buying my first car, setting up my first gazebo, getting my own tables, and selling at my first market.

From picking the first flowers to pressing them and creating jewellery with locally sourced blooms, it’s hard to believe a whole year has passed. I’ve grown physically and mentally, becoming stronger through the challenges of handling a 26kg gazebo and four 15kg weights. I’ve learned to face storms in 3-degree temperatures, and while physically tired, I feel mentally more resilient.

This year, with more experience, I want to grow not just as a crafter but also as a gardener. I’ve started seeding forget-me-nots and cornflowers, and I keep wandering around, searching for hidden gems—along pathways, in meadows, or even among the wild beauty of my own weedy garden.

In the midst of a busy schedule, I hope I can continue enjoying my work and cherish every market in the future. Seeing your expressions of wonder, joy, and delight remains one of the sweetest parts of my journey.

Running a small business isn’t easy, but I hope my jewellery serves as a reminder that nature is always around you. In any moment, take a small break, step into the greenery, and let nature empower you with its most gentle and enchanting song.
